Delete your Global Tech Advocates account

How to request account deletion

You can ask us to delete your Global Tech Advocates account and its associated personal data at any time. Follow these steps.

  1. Email privacy@uedfx.com from the email address on your Global Tech Advocates account.
  2. Use the subject line Delete my GTA account.
  3. We reply to confirm we received the request and to verify that you own the account.
  4. Once verified, we delete the account and the data listed below. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.

What we delete

When your deletion request is completed, we delete or de-identify the following:

  • Your account and sign-in credentials.
  • Your member profile, including your name, email address, photo, and bio.
  • Your company profile, where you created one.
  • Your community memberships, event RSVPs, and direct messages.
  • Your posts, comments, and updates, or, where content must remain for other members to make sense of a thread, the content is de-identified so it is no longer linked to you.

What we keep, and for how long

We retain a limited set of data after deletion, only where we are required or permitted to do so:

  • Records we must keep to meet legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements, kept for as long as the obligation requires.
  • Aggregated or de-identified analytics that can no longer be linked back to you, kept indefinitely.
  • Diagnostic and log data, typically retained for up to 24 months, then aggregated or deleted.
  • Backups, which are purged on our normal backup rotation, typically within 90 days.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You do not have to close your account to remove content. You can delete individual posts, comments, updates, and messages from inside the app, and you can clear fields on your profile at any time. If you want us to remove a specific set of data instead of your whole account, email privacy@uedfx.com and tell us what you would like removed.
